Possibilities Staff Denise KrugDenise Krug

Vice President, Workforce Development,
Community Programs, and Contracts

I have been with Goodwill 36 years and have had the privilege of watching the Rehabilitation and Community Services unit grow from a few staff in 1975 to 200 employees today.  My passion is developing new relevant and cutting-edge programs to meet the evolving needs of our community. I have been involved in all aspects of running twenty programs to include contract management, strategic planning, grant writing and implementation of tools to increase our ability to measure and improve program effectiveness. Before my current position, I managed vocational programs including on-the-job training, work readiness training, work adjustment, testing and placement programs. I have my MA in Psychology and BA in Social Welfare/Psychology with an emphasis in Gerontology.

I began my career with Discover Goodwill in 2006 and have had the exciting experience of working various positions, all within our community programs. Along the way, I discovered my passion for working with intellectual and developmental disabled individuals as well as those with mental illness. I am blessed to work among great staff, and at having the possibility to serve our wonderful participants. I joined Goodwill with the goal of making a difference in the lives of others and embracing the Goodwill mission of helping people reach their full potential by expanding their interests and abilities. As an educator with a Ph.D. in Curriculum Leadership, I have taught students from Kindergarten through Adult Education. As a local historian, I have lectured to numerous school, civic, and community groups over the past 20 years and have written a monthly newspaper column on Colorado Springs history. As an author, I have published books and articles in both the educational and historic fields. I have been an avid community volunteer, serving on numerous non-profit boards. International travel, classic movies, and reading are among my favorite hobbies. After raising three children, I am delighted to be with the Possibilities program, as each day is a very rewarding and worthwhile adventure.

Possibilities Staff Qiana BentleyQiana Bentley
Partner Team Lead for Possibilities
I started my professional career as a Cosmetologist and always thought that would be my career path until moving to Colorado Springs. Born and raised in New Jersey, I was unaware of the reach that Goodwill has on the community for people with disabilities. Having a stepbrother with autism I always knew that I wanted to play a part in this community. I came to Possibilities in September of 2015 as a Program Processor. Now as Partners Team Lead, I continue to enjoy working with our participants, watching them take steps towards greater independence each day. With a background in Business Management, I’m currently working on a degree in Psychology. I am so pleased to work with such a great team who all strive towards the Goodwill mission of helping people reach their highest level of personal and economic independence.

Processor Team Lead for Possibilities
I started with Discover Goodwill in 2011 as caregiver with In-Home Care where I visited with individuals in their homes, tending to their needs. I applied for the new Possibilities program in 2012 and was given the opportunity to work in this new, relevant, and cutting-edge program as a Program Partner. From there I took every opportunity to be a part of the program. I held positions as a Program Processor, Art Instructor, and Apartment Instructor, and now Processor Team Lead. Each one of these positions has given me countless learning opportunities and skills to utilize within the program. I am currently completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science, looking forward to moving towards my Masters in Sociology. I have a life filled with five children and four grandchildren who occupy my time. Being a part of the Possibilities program has been an indescribable adventure. I have been able to become a part of this creative, amazing, gifted, inspiring, motivated, and growing community. There is nothing like it and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
